An exhibition featuring works by Semih Poroy, a caricature artist well known since his first drawings published in the Akbaba magazine in 1975, was held by Diyarbakır Arts Center from December 27, 2002 to January 16, 2003. Alongside a wide selection of his caricatures, the exhibition showcased Poroy’s pattern drawings and portraits, as well as excerpts from his graphic novels and Harbi comic strip series. After the opening of the exhibition, Poroy gave a talk on his work and responded to the audience’s questions. In conjunction with the exhibition, Poroy also facilitated a caricature workshop on December 27-28, 2002. The workshop focused on different methods of drawing in diverse forms of visual arts.
