The ‘Koçer’ photography exhibition by Hüsamettin Bahçe, a photographer from Diyarbakır, was on show September 8-29, 2004, in Diyarbakır. In the following years, ‘Koçer’ traveled to Istanbul DEPO and Kars Arts Center. Organized by Diyarbakır Arts Center, the exhibition was on show at Mardin City Museum June 20-26, 2009. The subject of the exhibition is the Koçer people, who go on an approximately one month journey every year as the weather gets warmer in the highlands in various parts of Eastern Anatolia with hundreds of families and thousands of sheep from the Southeast. Hüsamettin Bahçe, who accompanied them on one of these journeys, documented the story of the Koçer People from Diyarbakır to Erzurum with his photos. This project took place June 15-July 7, 2003, and included 34 families, 218 people, 76 tents, 13.500 animals. A total of 19 reels of film were used.
