Following their workshop at the Istanbul Biennial, Bread and Puppet Theater, one of the most renowned groups in the field of political avant-garde theater, conducted a puppet-making workshop in Diyarbakır at Diyarbakır Mordem Arts September 20-21, 2022. Within the scope of the workshop implemented by Mordem Arts in partnership with Diyarbakır Arts Center, participants from the fields of performance, theater, and dance learned simple, cost-effective puppet-making and performance techniques using cardboard, paper, fabric, and other easily accessible materials. Following a workshop that was open to participants from Diyarbakır, Batman, and Mardin, which also included the teaching of the cantastoria (painting performance) technique that is ideal for street performances and parades, the group came together with children in Suriçi on September 22 in cooperation with the Colorful Hopes Association (Rengarenk Umutlar Derneği).
