While entering its fifth year, Diyarbakır Arts Center hosted the worldwide famous artist Gürbüz Doğan Ekşioğlu’s exhibition. Although Ekşioğlu is mostly known as a caricature artist, he combines painting, caricature and graphic art in his works. He has received national and international awards over the years, and his work has been published in a number of prominent magazines and newspapers such as The New Yorker, The Forbes, The Atlantic Monthly and The New York Times. Art lovers in Diyarbakır had the opportunity to see a selection of Ekşioğlu’s work at the Diyarbakır Arts Center September 8 – October 4, 2006.
